Purchased unit ~2 months ago and was pleased with its cooling power and low sound output. Scheduling feature on the app is a bit clunky. If you turn the unit off via the app, the schedule will kick it back on so there™™s no way to turn it off completely without either unplugging it or deactivating all the schedules. So I unplugged it on a Saturday. Went out of town. Came home, plugged it back in around 2pm. Go up to my room around 9pm and realize the window unit didn™™t kick on for its evening schedule. Unit shows its on through the app, but no lights or motor function. I unplug it and plug it back in (after 60 second delay); I fiddle with the breaker switches on the plug, I try different outlets. Nothing.

Bought in March of 2026, registered it to Bodewell immediately. The unit broke in July of 2026. Tried to have Bodewell come out for service within the one year registration, for some reason it showed that I bought the unit back in 2025. Which doesn't make sense because you can only register your appliances within a certain amount of time. FINALLY talked to someone in customer service, printed out my receipt to show when I bought the unit for the repair person so I wouldn't get charged. The plug has power but the unit stopped working, he didn't bring any tools to fix it. Even though I explained the problem. He said he needed to schedule two people to come fix it. And then I got a text saying the parts are on back order and my case is on hold. I bought an AC unit because I am dying of heat and nobody can help me. It's a nightmare and the customer service sucks.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GE CLEARVIEW AIR CONDITIONER. We have now had three GE ClearView units with the same water-management/water-pump problem. Our first unit failed after only about three months. Getting it resolved involved multiple service appointments, missed work for both my husband and me, technicians who didn't show up, and more than 28 emails back and forth with GE before the unit was finally replaced. Unfortunately, the replacement developed the same problem about three months later. Now our second ClearView, which we purchased separately for our bedroom, is experiencing the same issue after about six months. At this point, three units experiencing the same failure is extremely concerning. This may be a newer, attractive design, but in our experience the water-management/pump system has been extremely unreliable. Before purchasing this unit, please do a simple Google search and read other customer reviews. You will find that other consumers are reporting similar problems with the water-management/pump system. All three of our units have been properly installed, maintained, and used normally and as intended. Given that the same water-management/pump failure has occurred repeatedly across three separate units within only a few months of use, we believe this should be considered a recurring product defect and/or defect in materials or workmanship rather than normal wear and tear. Based on our experience and the similar experiences being reported by other consumers, this does not appear to be an isolated failure. It looks great, but it absolutely has not functioned well or proven dependable. Save yourself the frustration and choose a different model.

This a/c worked good for 1 summer and the next year when used it constantly filled and shut off. Have to pull drain plug constantly in order to restart it. I think the pump failed. Very dissatisfied with this product. Buyer beware, don™™t buy this a/c. 1 year warranty, lasted the 1 year and failed. What a waste of money

GE: When screws are intended to be loosened by customers, DO NOT let the lazy factory people use drills to tighten them; tighten those screws BY HAND! Four screws, right? What happens when even just ONE of those four screws cannot be loosened???? The screw gets stripped where the screwdriver fits. ™Oh, so now I have to research this and go to Home Depot and buy an extractor kit and drill out the screw! Oh, wait, you don™™t own a drill? Overall I was very pleased with the unit as seen by my below scoring but due to its extremely short lifespan and difficulty in getting any support, repair, or replacement in a timely manner the score is drastically lowered Connectivity - Extremely easy to connect and even has fall-back method for if your device has issues. Cooling - Great for small office rooms / bedrooms it keeps everything super comfortable without it being humid 5/ 5 Coverage - If talking household see other comment as it covered that.3.5/5 Coverage 2- Although warrenty coverage? If so it was awful. Filing online i was informed my warrenty expired even though I hadnt had the unit at the time for even 90 days. It is based off when they make it not sell it so if it sits in a warehouse for a year your SOL unless you kept a digital or phyiscal reciepe which i luckily kept. -5 / 5 Installation - Easiest unit I'd ever installed in the house. Came with so many options that I could configure with insulation padding 5/5 Noise - This unit I often times forgot it was even running it was so quiet my ceiling fans are louder! 5/5 Unit worked perfectly until it didn't after only 2 months a tech mentioned the Capacitor died and cannot be replaced requiring entire unit replacement. This is a $400+ and the quality of that part was obviously that of a $5 component. Why pay such high prices for something so shoddy? It took nearly 2 weeks just to get someone scheduled and out to LOOK at the unit to decide its needing full replacement. I then was informed i must wait another 2 weeks for a VOUCHER to go buy this unit which all stores in my area only sell it online. By the time this units replaced it will have been over a month of unit not functional

Extremely loud when the pump turns on. The entire unit vibrates as if the compressor is inside. It continuously gives error code as well because the pump csn never keep up with condensate removal. There should be a hose to allow for drainage rather than a pump. Pooy designed.

This unit is very expensive considering that it doesn™™t blow cold very hard. It just whispers out, which is not what I was looking for. I was looking for an AC that would blow a lot of cold air, but this thing is like something I™™ve never seen before. I was really disappointed considering it™™s a GE. I haven™™t thrown away the box I would return it unfortunately I believed in GE and threw away the box right away. I don™™t recommend this unit. The installation was easy enough, but the outcome of how it doesn™™t cool Well is a great disappointment! I would love to return this unit.

I purchased my GE Profile ClearView 6,100 BTU Smart Ultra Quiet Window Air Conditioner from Home Depot. My home was built in 1959 and still has the original wooden double hung windows on it. I installed storm windows on my house a number of years ago, and because the window sill is below the opening at the lower edge of my storm window, I knew I'd have to modify the sill to make it level for installation. I measured my window opening and installed a 3/4" piece of plywood so it would rest on top of the window sill, and the top of the bottom crosspiece to the storm window where the sliding glass portion normally rests. Level was good so I screwed the plywood to the window sill. When the AC arrived I adjusted the Chase-Way out to position 1 in the directions to clear the vinyl siding on my home. Once placed through the window, I went outside and set the adjuster bolts where they needed to be so the AC was level front to back. The rest of the installation went well until I went to install the weather stripping foam adhesive that rests on top of the AC where the window comes to rest when lowered. Due to the way the adhesive strip is packed, it had kinks that left some large open gaps between the window and the AC unit. Since I didn't have to use the Foam Mounting Supports during my installation due to my plywood addition to my window sill, I used the Foam Mounting Supports across the top of the AC and they worked beautifully to seal the gap between the window and AC properly. With the installation of this SADDLE AC UNIT complete, yes I said saddle because it looks like it's sitting on a saddle in the window, go figure, I plugged it in, turned it on, and was quite pleased with how quiet it is, and with the cold air coming out of the vents. I whole-heartedly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a Window AC that won't block your view through the window, while allowing more light into the room at the same time!

I hate to tell you guys, but the P1 code on the first unit was driving me crazy. After about three weeks of trying to troubleshoot it. I talked with a technician, who knew about this and in conjunction with GE, they arranged a replacement. The design of this unit is fantastic. It keeps the mechanics outside with all the noise and gives some lots of window space. It is Quiet. The second unit that I installed is working just fine. Here in Miami, the optimal sleep foundation temperature recommended for the best quality sleep is still 65°. You need a good unit to achieve that in your bedroom. Last night it was 65° in my bedroom. I slept fantastically. I™™m still working on the Alexa hook up, but I™™m sure that will go well. The electricity used is minimal compared to the window rattlers of our past. I suggest you look very carefully at these units as replacements. Since the technology is not fully mature as evidence by the failure of My. First unit be prepared for a few hiccups. Stay in touch with GE and they will Make things work correctly for you. This is one of those cases where you have to be persistent. If something does goes wrong, and immediately try to fix the problem. GE, will fix the problem. These things are made in factories and problems happen. So just remember that. Now that I have one that works. And works well. I™™ll give this unit top points. The design is also similar to a Midea unit, but my idea unit extends upward while this extends down Ward across your wall. Interior to your house. You have more light in the room. I think this is the future of window air conditioners. Go out and embrace the future.

As my first window unit, I am happy I decided on this particular model and brand. Not only was the video for installation very straightforward, but having the ability to operate the unit through the app and on a scheduled timer makes the system that much cooler (figuratively and literally). Also, little to no noise from the unit so I can sleep easy with it on all night. Lastly, the added perk of viewing how much energy was used for each night is also a major plus.

It definitely takes 2 people to install it correctly, but with the material that comes with it and directions we got it installed and it sealed up very well™¦ so it is super quiet! We love it!

Easiest install of any window air conditioner I have ever done. The foam to block the open parts of the windows is well planned and easy. The unit is very quiet, and has enough cooling capacity for keeping my small bedroom comfortable. The eco mode keeps it from running and wasting money.

This is an exceptionally quiet, effective air conditioner. The only reason I didn't rate it five stars is that draining it is more complicated than it seems like it should be. There are two drains, which was not obvious from the instructions. The instructions make it sound like all you have to do for the inside drain is to pull the plug, but in fact you also need to tilt it, which you can't really do when it is in the window. Still, it's a very good air conditioner. Just drain it thoroughly at the end of the season.

We love our GE clearview AC! We have central AC but do not like to cool the whole house over night. We placed the AC in our bedroom window, sleep at 68 degrees and maintain the rest of the house at a higher temperature. We live in deep south Louisiana, very hot and very humid and the GE AC capacity cools the room very energy efficiently. (This can be monitored daily on the App). The AC is very quiet, and my husband says he can't tell if it is running unless he runs his had over the vent to feel the cool air. Installation was not difficult, but definitely need two people. We added pieces of window screw with magnets over the exterior AC vents holes, to keep knats out of the units cooling water. I would recommend this product.

It keeps my recording studio cool, dry, and is quiet enough for mixing. It is the quietest one so far that I've used in this studio. The low-slung design puts most of the noise generation below the window level. It replaced a Midea Inverter type window AC.

P1 code on new AC

I took delivery yesterday and installed it today. It is perfectly level, back to front, and side to side. It runs for less than thirty minutes and then throws a P1 code. I remove the Drain cap and pull the Filter Plug. Twelve ounces of water drains out. I turn it back on and get the same results.

I absolutely love this air conditioner. I like to sleep in the cold and this definitely keeps it chilly. The design is amazing. My husband is a shift worker and when he has to sleep during the day, the old air conditioner would let light through. Your air conditioner does not which makes for. Great blackout sleep for him.

Installation was straighten forward and not difficult. The unit looks great in my window. It is whisper quiet. So quiet in the whisper mode, in fact, that I find myself wondering if it™™s running (it is). And it cools down our bedroom quickly. Only complaint I have is with the remote control. The lettering on the remote is in silver on a beige background, and I literally can™™t see the lettering in the early morning light when I want to turn the AC off without getting out of bed. Easy fix ™" lettering should be in black, not silver. This is a no brainer. Can™™t believe a modern company would design a remote with such hard-to-see lettering.
